’s planned visit to Iowa in June for a fundraiser has the Republican Party of Iowa making sure there’s enough room for the expected crowd, the Des Moines Register reported Friday.
Party officials decided to hold the event featuring the real estate mogul and potential Republican presidential candidate in at the Polk County Convention Complex, which can seat up to 2,600 people in one of its ballrooms.
Trump said he expects a large crowd.
"You'll have the most successful Republican dinner you've ever had ..." Trump told the newspaper. "I guess the tickets, they can't get them. They're looking for larger halls or something. I look forward to being in Iowa."
Party Chairman Matt Strawn said: "We've received a very high level of demand from all corners of the state."
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin attracted between 1,000 and 1,500 people for at the Iowa party's fall dinner in September.
