As the race for the Republican presidential nomination heats up, New Hampshire, the state that holds the country’s first primary, is starting to get crowded with politicos. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., all plan campaign swings through the Granite State in the next week, according to media reports.

“Making it official next week at the Scamman Farm in New Hampshire,” he said on Twitter. That announcement is set for Thursday, The Boston Globe reported Friday.

Meanwhile, Palin announced that she’s kicking off a tour of the East Coast with planned stops in New Hampshire next week as well, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported Friday.

Bachmann’s campaign on Thursday announced that she will be making a number of stops in New Hampshire over the weekend, including attending the Memorial Day Parade in North Hampton, and a few stops later in the day at local Republican Party events.

The most recent Gallup polls put Palin and Romney atop of the GOP presidential field. Bachmann has signaled that she plans to make her presidential ambitions known in June.
