New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
is using his star power to help House Republicans raise $10 million, USA Today reported Wednesday.
Christie’s tough, straight talk and decisive action has made him a popular speaker at Republican events, and sparked talk about a potential bid for the White House. He’ll be the headliner at the National Republican Congressional Committee spring fundraiser.
The money Christie helps raise will be used to help Republicans expand their majority in the House, said U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions, chairman of the committee.
"I'm proud to announce that we raised over $10 million with the NRCC March Dinner to strengthen the new Republican majority in 2012," said Sessions, a Texas Republican.
"This outstanding fundraising effort will enable the NRCC to stay on offense against House Democrats who continue to support the failed policies and leadership of Nancy Pelosi," he concluded.
