Olivia Wilde, alongside fellow actors Penn Badgely and Zoe Kravitz, is featured in a newly released video that praises the Occupy Wall Street movement, Wisconsin protests, and other left-oriented demonstrations.
Footage contained in the video is designed to promote “The 99 Percent Spring,” a mobilization of like-minded groups that are intent on engaging in disruptive non-violent protests during the month of April.
Referencing statistics that highlight wealth discrepancies within the United States, Hollywood celebrities appearing in the video decry politicians who “are for sale to the highest bidder.”
The actor assembly then suggests “what all of us can do to change the rules of the game” as “over 1,000 grassroots organizations will come together” this month.
Included is the promotion of “non-violent direct action” while making a comparison to the Civil Rights movement.
The celebrity spokespersons state that “60 years ago Civil Rights leaders understood the power of disruption . . .”
One after another each repeats a familiar query: “Are you in?”
This also turns out to be the current slogan of the Obama campaign, which is posted on one of the president’s websites.
As the actors urge viewers to take to the streets, the viewing audience is coached that “change happens because people put their beliefs and their bodies on the line.”
Viewers are additionally referred to the website of The 99 Percent Spring, which features notable far-left names that include AFL-CIO leader Richard Trumka, former Obama czar Van Jones, and the executive director of MoveOn.org, Justin Ruben.
