Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., says U.S. military involvement in Libya should be limited to preventing the loss of civilian life and not to Carl Levin, Libya, Moammar Gadhafiremoving Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi from power, Politico reports.

“There are other means of removing Gadhafi than military means," Levin said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “We saw that in Egypt, where the people removed their dictator.

“We are going to be the ones who prevent him from massacring his own people,” Levin said. “It’s not just the rebels – it’s the people who are going to ultimately undo Gadhafi.”
