Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., has hired well-known GOP strategist Ed Rollins, giving further evidence that she intends to run for president. Bachmann is expected to announce her campaign soon in her home state of Iowa.

Michele Bachmann, Ed RollinsBachmann already had hired former George W. Bush and John McCain adviser Brett O’Donnell and pollster Ed Goeas.

Rollins told ABC News that he will play a key role — probably, campaign manager.

“I have talked to her about how you put a campaign together,” said Rollins, who said he doesn't have a title at this point. “If she chooses to run, I’ll certainly be involved."

Rollins was Mike Huckabee’s national campaign director in 2008. The former Arkansas governor recently announced he would not be making another run for the White House.

Rollins first came to national prominence during the Reagan-Bush re-election campaign in 1984.
