The long-awaited Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride, the final part to the Disney World's recent expansion, was being dedicated Friday and will be open to the public later in May.
Disney World's New Fantasyland expansion, where the train ride is located, is part of the largest theme park expansion since it opened in 1971, according to the Orlando Business Journal.

Disney released a video showing what it would be like to ride on the mine train, based on Disney's 1937 classic animated movie "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."
"It's not hair-raising, but it promises to provide some good old-fashioned family fun," Michelle Meredith, of WESH-TV reported Friday
. "The setting is a gem mining expedition with the Seven Dwarfs, and it's a ride for the family, so the inclines won't give anyone nightmares, and the turns won't upset little stomachs."
Dewayne Bevil, of the Orlando Sentinel said the ride is not only family-friendly, but comes with special effects that will please any age.
"It's shiny, curvy, hilly, stealthy, Sleepy, Grumpy and Doc," Bevil wrote of ride, which the media and VIP checked out this week. "The latest coaster in Disney's collection, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, balances fun elements with a tiny pinch of peril. … The attraction runs indoors and outdoors, tucked into a newly constructed 'mountain' behind Cinderella Castle."
Bevil said one of the best parts of the ride is when the coaster goes inside the mountain where they witness the seven dwarfs, through some clever technology, at work.
"The ride next travels inside the mine, which is lines with cartloads of jewels," Bevil wrote. "But don't be distracted by the shiny objects. Instead, take a good look at the faces of our seven little friends, some of who, are busy at work. These are very animated Audio-Animatronics. They are accompanied by the 1937 Disney classic 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.' Once the dwarfs' shift ends, it's home from work we go, which starts with another lift hill."
Bevil said that the riders will get a scenic view of Cinderella Castle and Beast's Castle as the ride comes to a close.
The ride will be open to the public May 28, according to Disney.
