CARACAS, Venezuela — Four more people were charged Thursday in a probe into a 1.3-ton cocaine shipment discovered on an Air France flight in September, authorities in Venezuela said.
The bust by French authorities has led to charges against 25 people in Venezuela, including five members of the military and an Air France manager.
The latest four arrests, of three men and a woman, were for allegedly cooperating with the operation, prosecutors said.
The drug shipment was discovered on the Air France plane after it landed in Paris at the end of a flight from Caracas' international airport.
Venezuela has emerged as a major way station for cocaine shipments from South America to Europe and the United States.
