My guess is that a minimal gaggle of lunatic fringe anti-gun numbnuts wrote Starbucks and complained about law-abiding Americans carrying their legal weapons into their stores.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz wrote an open letter on his website “respectfully requesting that customers no longer bring firearms into our stores or outdoor seating areas — even in states where “open carry” is permitted — unless they are authorized law enforcement personnel.”

As a very routine customer of Starbucks, I am respectfully not complying with Mr. Schultz’s request because his request is dangerous and irresponsible.

What Mr. Schultz is requesting is that you and I are defenseless while in Starbucks. That is unacceptable on every level imaginable.

I do not believe that Mr. Schultz is unaware of the fact that mass murders can — and have — happened at malls and restaurants and other places that are the phenomenally stupid gun free zones.

The ugly reality is that Starbucks and other businesses are not immune to a mass murder in the engineered recidivistic hell of America. What Mr. Schultz is requesting is that, God-forbid, a mass murderer shows up at a Starbucks and you and I become victims instead of having the means to attempt to defend our precious gift of life.

What Mr. Schultz may not know is that America has eight million conceal carry permit holders and that these Americans are statistically the most safe and lawful group of Americans this side of suckling infants.

Conceal carry permit holders are the good guys. We have not shot up schools, restaurants, malls, movie theaters — or Starbucks.

Furthermore, what Mr. Schultz may not know is that, with the exception of one slaughter, every mass murder has been carried out in a gun free zone. A gun free zone is what Mr. Schultz desires for Starbucks.

The bottom line is that more inane, politically correct requests and gun restrictions equates to more victims as we have sadly once again witnessed at the Washington Naval Yard.

For a government or company to create policies that are guaranteed to create more victims is insane and barbaric and intellectually dishonest.

Mr. Schultz is dead wrong in requesting that lawful Americans not be able to defend ourselves while enjoying a grande Mocha, 2 pump with foam and whip at our favorite Starbucks.

I am not complying with Mr. Schultz’s politically correct, dangerous and irresponsible request and I encourage all other legal concealed carry permit holders to not comply as well.

I will continue to enjoy Starbucks coffee. Know that when I am at a Starbucks enjoying my delicious mocha that the other patrons are much safer and his coffee shop much more secure thanks to the heavily armed guitar player.

I'm from Detroit, don't tread on me or my mocha.
