PENSACOLA NAVAL AIR STATION, Fla. (AP) — The first and the last men to walk on the moon and the commander of the final mission of Space Shuttle Endeavour are among the dignitaries expected for the commissioning National Flight Academy at Pensacola Naval Air Station on Friday.

Apollo astronauts Neil Armstrong and Gene Cernan will join shuttle commander Mark Kelly at a ceremony marking the opening of the project that supporters call space camp taken to the next level.

Seventh through 12th graders who attended the academy spend five days onboard a simulated aircraft carrier and use basic math and science skills with high-tech flight simulators to craft complex missions.
