Real estate mogul/reality TV star Donald Trump has never been known to take insults lying down. And that has The Donald in a war of words with the presidential campaign of Jon Huntsman, Politico reports.

It apparently started with a story on that news service saying that Trump’s endorsement won’t be so valuable to whichever candidate gets it. The story cited a Fox News poll showing that Trump’s backing would make 6 percent of voters more likely to support a candidate and 31 percent less likely to do so.

Tim Miller, spokesman for former Utah Gov. Huntsman, suggested that the number would make his boss feel comfortable about deciding not to curry Trump’s favor.

"Here's hoping Governors Romney and Perry’s courtship of Trump continues well into the winter. Next season’s best reality show might be Rick, Mitt, and Donald choppering to Hawaii to examine the birth certificate," Miller said.

It would appear that Trump read the story, as he tweeted this response: "@JonHuntsman has zero chance of getting the nomination. Whoever said I wanted to meet him? Time is money and I don't waste mine.”

But Miller had a retort to that, too: “Unlike Rick Perry and Mitt Romney, Gov. Huntsman isn't wasting his time with Presidential Apprentice, his focus is on real solutions to fix our nation's economy."
