Sean Spicer appears to be cementing his reputation as Sean Spritzer.

The White House press secretary was taken aback when Melissa McCarthy portrayed him on "Saturday Night Live" as an angry, squeaky-voiced Donald Trump apologist who punished reporters with blasts from a Super Soaker water gun.

But Spicer has now taken a page from the ruthless parody and equipped his office with one of the large squirters.

CNN's Dylan Byers reports the shelves of Spicer's White House office are adorned with a framed picture of himself at his podium, a book on Naval Special Warfare and a Super Soaker "commemorating the infamous" NBC comedy-show skit.

What is not known is whether the squirt gun is filled with soapy water or if Spicer has used it to wet down any unwelcome visitors.

Trump was said to be unhappy with the Feb. 4th spoof of Spicer, particularly because he was portrayed by a woman in an ill-fitting and light-colored suit.

"Trump doesn't like his people to look weak," Politico quoted a top Trump donor talking about McCarthy's insulting but funny portrayal — a role she repeated a week later.

After the parody, a stoic Spicer told Politico: "I would much rather have the focus be on the president's agenda and the success he's having. That's all I'm saying on it."
