Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin says the Republican Party must prove to voters they have viable alternatives to Democratic leadership and not just rant about stopping Obamacare.
"They really have to show the country an alternative vision. They really have to show that they're not insensitive or uninterested frankly in the plight of poor people or in promoting upward mobility or increasing employment," Rubin told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"You get the feeling . . . if you listen to these people it's just about stopping Obama and that's the immediate task. But . . . why in all these years that they have been now in control of the House have they not passed an alternative to Obamacare?
"Yes, a number of people have introduced or come up with them, they've never voted on them, never passed them. I don't know what they would pass. What would be the alternative if we finally got rid of Obamacare? I don't know."
Rubin, a conservative who writes the Post’s Right Turn column, said it would not be difficult for the GOP to present its own workable version of the Affordable Care Act.
