Paul raised the money through three operations, according to Politico. They are Rand Paul for Senate, the RANDPAC political action committee, and Rand Paul Victory, a fundraising group that funnels donations into the other groups.
The senator's exact tally has yet to be disclosed to federal election authorities, Politico reports, but his money-raising apparatus could be transferred to a presidential campaign should Paul — whose current term ends in 2016 — decide on a White House run.
