Indiana GOP Senate candidate Richard Mourdock pulled in more than $3 million of campaign contributions during the third quarter.

Online donations accounted for about $550,000 of the inflow, and about $1 million came during the final week of the quarter, deputy campaign manager Brose McVey told Politico.

Real Clear Politics rates the race between Mourdock and Democratic Rep. Joe Donnelly as a toss-up. The latest poll it cites, which was taken by Howey DePauw Sept. 19-23, shows Donnelly ahead by 2 percentage points.

Mourdock’s campaign spent $2.5 million during the third quarter, leaving it with $1.3 million cash on hand.
