The “Ready for Hillary" political action committee, launched Jan. 25 to support a possible run for the presidency by Hillary Clinton in 2016, has hired its first senior official and is set to bring on more staff, a knowledgeable source tells BuzzFeed, a social and political news website.

Former Clinton aide Seth Bringman, who worked in Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, has been brought on as communications director. He'll serve in that position while continuing to hold down his current job at a public relations firm in Columbus, Ohio. Bringman also served as communications director for the Ohio Democratic Party from 2009 through last year's election.

The Ready for Hillary PAC is forming plans to add more staff and possibly expand into various areas of the country, the BuzzFeed source said.

The PAC, created to support the former secretary of state, is the first of its kind to be established on behalf of any potential presidential candidate for 2016. The group’s website is already up, and its Twitter account has more than 51,000 followers.

The PAC's founders are Allida Black and Adam Parkhomenko of northern Virginia. Black is a history professor at George Washington University, who volunteered as a fundraiser for Clinton's campaign in 2008. Parkhomenko worked for Clinton's Senate and presidential campaign committees from 2003 through 2008.
