Sens. Lindsey Graham and John McCain weren’t bowled over by President Barack Obama’s jobs speech but they did find some common ground, according to a report in
The Hill’s Blog Briefing Room.
South Carolina’s Graham said, “I haven’t seen the bill. I think paying for it means you’re going to raise taxes on job creators. I think that it’s going to be hard for us to go back home and tell people we are raising taxes at time when we need more jobs.”
However, McCain added, “we’re for the employer tax cuts, we certainly know we have to reform Medicare,” The Hill reported.
