Add commentator Pat Buchanan to the growing list of GOP heavyweights who want former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to speak at the party convention next month.

Asked by Greta Van Susteren on Fox News Wednesday night whom he thinks should address the confab, Buchanan said, "I'll tell you who I like — your buddy and my favorite, Sarah Palin.”

And what is his reasoning? “I would say to Gov. Romney at the convention: 'Look, let's not have a boring convention — it’s going to be boring except for the vice president [selection]. Why don't you bring in all the voices of the party and say 'Look, you may not agree with these folks and those folks, but we are all united behind Gov. Romney.’"

South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint and former presidential candidate Newt Gingrich too have called for Palin to speak.

Buchanan also said Romney shouldn’t censure anyone’s speech at the convention to ensure political correctness.
