Former presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has been revealed as a key target for the main Democratic super PAC involved with 2014 House races.
The high-profile Minnesota Republican is among the Top 10 Republican House members that democratic House Majority PAC will try to take down with multi-platform ads and social media campaigns, a strategist for the group told Politico
In addition to Bachmann, the list includes fellow Minnesota Rep. John Kline, Colorado’s Mike Coffman, Rodney Davis of Illinois, Mike Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Michael Grimm of New York, Joe Heck of Nevada, David Joyce of Ohio, Steve Southerland of Florida, and Gary Miller of California.
Democrats may have a few opportunities in this list, but they face a major uphill battle to claim the 17 seats needed for a majority in the House.
As for the Top 10, many represent suburban toss-up districts, where Democrats have been competitive in statewide elections. Several of the districts are home to large minority populations.
Bachmann had a close call in November, beating Democrat Jim Graves by only 4,297 votes.
