Zuckerman Mulls Senate Run with N.Y. GOP

Real estate and media icon Mort Zuckerman has talked with New York Republican Party Chairman Ed Cox about a possible Senate campaign in 2010.

"I have talked with Mr. Zuckerman and he has expressed an interest in running for the Senate," Cox said. "He's very concerned about the direction this country is going and, as I think many Americans are; as the most recent elections have proven, whether Massachusetts or here in New York, Nassau County, Westchester County. He has always wanted to serve his country and thinks perhaps he can serve by running for the United State Senate."
