Oklahoma Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe is running for another term in the U.S. Senate, blaming liberals for putting the country on a "crash course."
Inhofe says in a statement Wednesday that he is running for a fourth term because has work left to do to defend what he says are Oklahoma values for future generations.
Jake Parsons, a spokesman for Inhofe's campaign, says that due to his traveling schedule and commitments back in Washington, Inhofe was unavailable for direct comment Wednesday.
Democrat Matt Silverstein has filed to run against Inhofe. Silverstein has reported raising $83,000 since starting up his campaign in June.
Campaign finance reports show that Inhofe had more than $1.2 million on hand at the end of the reporting cycle.
