The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review endorsed
Pennsylvania Republican Pat Toomey in his race for the Senate against Democrat Joe Sestak. The newspaper’s endorsing editorial Sunday described Toomey as a “conservative’s conservative.”
The United States “no longer can abide [Sestak’s] kind of failed liberal public policy prescriptions,” the newspaper’s editorial said.
Toomey and Sestak are vying for the seat held by Arlen Specter. Toomey's 10-point lead in a Rasmussen survey last week moved the contest from the leans Republican into solidly GOP category.
