Republicans are challenging Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's use of taxpayer resources in partisan attacks against Republicans, said Reince Priebus, Republican National Committee chairman.

Priebus said the Louisiana GOP has filed a letter with the Senate Ethics Committee alleging Reid used taxpayer-funded computers and staff to attack Republican donors Charles and David Koch, which he characterized as a violation of Senate ethics rules.

Reid "is clearly using staff, taxpayer money, resources, website, [and] computer equipment to launch partisan campaign attacks [with] the taxpayers' money. And that's a violation," Priebus told "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday.

Priebus said Reid "brings this stuff on himself" by using his staff and computers for the attacks. He said the RNC would pursue the charges "as far as we can" to let people know "this guy will stop at nothing to lie to the American people."

"You have to put a marker down and say, 'Wait a second. You are not going to use a taxpayer website and a taxpayer Twitter account to attack Republicans,'" he said. "Harry Reid is so dirty and so unethical that some of these things have to happen."
