Barack Obama's re-election campaign has put an ad up on the Internet to prove that the president has kept the promises he made four years ago.

, in a fact check, concluded the ad was an “object lesson in how political ads can leave a misleading impression.”
The ad uses Obama’s Iowa victory speech and then flashes headlines to prove he kept the promises he made. “The overall result is slick, but a careful viewer will note that the words that follow in the headlines do not always quite match up with the president’s words,” the Post wrote.
Among the claims Obama makes is that he would bring healthcare to “every single American,” end tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas and lower gas prices.
“So has Obama kept these promises? The ad slickly suggests he did, but the disconnect between his words and some of the headlines is jarring, particularly in the case of cracking down on companies that ship jobs overseas,” the Post concluded. “A word to the wise when watching these types of ads — read the fine print very carefully.”
