The National Republican Senatorial Committee
thinks it’s time for anti-Obama, pro-Romney voters to crow a little about the results of the 2012 presidential campaign – with a bumper sticker.
The sticker, proclaiming, "You Knew It. Show Everyone. Romney Was Right," on a red, white, and blue background, can be had for just $5, which will go toward electing Republican Senate candidates in the November midterm elections.
The website states, "Let the world know that you made the right choice."
It’s a turnaround for Republicans, who apparently have come to believe that President Barack Obama’s dismal showing in a recent Quinnipiac Poll means that nostalgia for Republican contender Mitt Romney and former President George W. Bush may be just the ticket when it comes to raising money for Republican legislative campaigns.
For $27, the Republican National Committee is selling "I Miss W" T-shirts,
and says on its website, "By sporting this comfortable, classic, American-made tee, you can share our message and help us elect principled conservative leaders to office."
The Quinnipiac Poll
found that 33 percent of Americans now consider Obama to be the "worst president since WWII" and 45 percent said America would be better off if we had elected Mitt Romney as president.
While 39 percent of those polled believe that Obama has been a better president than George W. Bush, 40 percent did not.
"Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said.
"Would Mitt have been a better fit? More voters in hindsight say yes."
The NRSC is also selling a $30 T-shirt decorated with the names of Republican Presidents, "Teddy & Ike & Ford & Reagan & Bush & W.," and says, "Every donation will bring us one step closer to winning a Republican majority in the Senate."
