U.S. Sen. Mike Lee of Utah has endorsed Republican Senate candidate Greg Brannon of North Carolina.
"Greg’s a constitutional conservative and he’s someone who’s excited and eager to apply timeless constitutional principles to address some of our country’s timely problems," Lee, a tea party favorite, told The Charlotte Observer
Lee also called Brannon, a "constitutional reformer" and praised his stands on healthcare and education.
"All those things are going to be part of the fast-emerging conservative agenda," Lee said.
Brannon, a medical doctor with an OB/GYN practice, is challenging House Speaker Thom Tillis and six other candidates for the Republican nod. The winner will take on Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan.
The father of seven with his wife, Jody, Brannon is involved in coaching his children’s athletic teams, has been a leader in men’s Bible Study for more than 14 years, and has traveled the globe on Christian and medical missions in Africa and Central America.
He is also a board member of Hand of Hope, a pregnancy support group, and member of AAPLOG, an organization of pro-life OB/GYN doctors.
