Early, incomplete results show Louisiana Democratic U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu leading GOP challenger John Kennedy in her quest for a third term, according to a report in the Times-Picayune.

With 179 precincts reporting — 4 percent of the total — Landrieu is ahead 53 percent to 45 percent over Kennedy, the state treasurer who bolted the Democratic Party last year to join the Republicans.
