Former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee’s daughter, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, may have joined the presidential campaign of Tim Pawlenty. But that doesn’t mean the former Arkansas governor himself is supporting Pawlenty, Politico reports.

"Her involvement does not change my own decision personally and that of Huck PAC to remain neutral in the GOP contest," Huckabee said in a statement. "While Governor Pawlenty has been a good friend of mine for many years, so have most of the other presidential candidates, and I don't plan to endorse any candidate in the early stages of the Republican primary."

Of course, the 2008 Iowa primary winner lauded his daughter’s credentials, describing her as a "highly qualified professional [who] will be a terrific asset to the Pawlenty team.” The former Minnesota governor was smart to "seek" her involvement, Huckabee said.
