Gravis Poll: Hillary Leads Rubio, Jeb Bush in Florida

A new presidential poll shows Hillary Clinton ahead of two Republicans in their home state, Florida, Sunshine State News reports.

According to the poll of registered voters by Gravis Marketing, Clinton, the presumptive Democratic frontrunner, leads Sen. Marco Rubio 44 percent to 35 percent. Twenty-one percent were undecided.

A poll by Gravis in January showed Rubio behind Clinton 49 percent to 45 percent, with only 6 percent undecided.

Former Gov. Jeb Bush fared better, coming within 2 percentage points in the latest poll. Clinton was favored by 39 percent of those polled, while Bush took 37 percent. Twenty-four percent were undecided.

The January poll did not include a Bush-Clinton match-up.

Both Rubio and Bush have been talked about as possible 2016 GOP contenders for the White House, and Florida has been a key swing state in recent presidential elections.

According to Sunshine State News, the poll talked to 859 registered voters Aug. 14-24 and had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 4 percentage points.

Seventy-three percent identified themselves as "very likely" to vote, 17 percent said they were "likely to vote," and 10 percent considered themselves "somewhat likely to vote" in the 2016 presidential election.

Eighty percent were polled by phone, with the rest coming from Internet panels.
