The buzz over Hillary Clinton making another White House bid in 2016 continues with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and even her husband, former President Bill Clinton joining the list of speculators, The Washington Post’s political blog The Fix reports.

While Clinton has repeatedly shot down such speculation, Pelosi and Rendell won’t quit. “She’s our shot,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle. “Why wouldn’t she run? She’s a magnificent secretary of state.”

Rendell, in his new book, wrote, “She is bone-tired. ... Still I believe that when she gets some rest and has a chance to reflect on what she wants, the challenges facing the country will be too great for her to resist and she will change her mind.”

Bill Clinton acknowledges that his wife has said repeatedly she will never run again, “but I’ve been there; I know what happens when you go through this decompression after years of relentless high-pressure activity. And I just think she needs to rest up, do some things she cares about, and whatever she decides to do, I’ll support,” the Post reported.

Hillary Clinton would turn 69 just before Election Day in 2016. If she won she would become the second-oldest person to enter the White House, eight months and 20 days younger than Ronald Reagan. Nonetheless, she would be well-positioned. Her popularity is  high and her resume as former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of state is sterling.

“No one knows — least of all Hillary — if she will run,” a top 2008 aide granted anonymity to speak candidly, told the Post. “When the time comes, she will think about it, obviously.”
