PLYMOUTH, N.H. — Newt Gingrich has taken the wraps off his first campaign TV commercial aimed at Mitt Romney, branding the former Massachusetts governor's economic proposal "timid."
Unveiled Thursday, the spot will run in New Hampshire and South Carolina.
It says Romney's economic plan is "virtually identical to Obama's failed policy" and adds that "timid won't create jobs and timid certainly won't defeat Barack Obama."
The ad portrays Gingrich's proposal as "a powerful plan for growing our economy and creating jobs."
Appearing in Plymouth, N.H., on Thursday, Gingrich called on Congress to defund the National Labor Relations Board after Obama circumvented lawmakers and appointed three people to the panel.
Gingrich said Obama showed "a total willingness to violate the law and impose an imperial presidency."
