Politicians are "all talk, no action," which is one reason Donald Trump is eyeing a run for the White House in 2016.

Trump told "Fox & Friends" on Monday that his comment about politicians brought the crowd to their feet at an appearance over the weekend at the Citizens United Freedom Summit in New Hampshire.

"I said, 'All talk, no action.' And, everybody stood up and went wild," the real-estate and media mogul said. "The people running the conference said they haven't seen anything like that."

Trump said he knows "politicians probably as well or better than anybody," and his claim is evident "by the way the country is running" with a lack of leadership "certainly at the top."

When asked directly about running for president, Trump said, "We'll see what happens."

If he were president, first on his agenda would be to get respect back for the United States and "get the country back on track," he said.

"We're certainly going down a very bad path. We're going down a very dangerous path. We're not respected like we once were. We're not rich like we once were," he said.

With his work in real estate, Trump said he is already living his "dream" and returning the country to its former prominence is an even greater aspiration.

"I'm doing things that are so exciting. But, as exciting as they are, what's more exciting to me is bringing back the country," he said.

On the domestic front, Trump said he would "get people working" and called the 6.7 percent unemployment rate "nonsense." He explained the "real unemployment is probably 18 or 20 percent."

In addition, Trump said he would replace Obamacare with something more affordable and workable.

"I would also end Obamacare and come up with a much better plan that costs much less money," he said. "People would be really helped."
