Alaskan Republican Senate candidate Joe Miller (pictured) is getting ad help on all sides. Just as the National Republican Senatorial Committee begins a $162,000 TV ad campaign for him, Republican South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint is stepping in to assist Miller too, Politico reports.

DeMint, Miller, alaska, adsDeMint’s Senate Conservatives Fund is launching an ad this week pointing out Miller’s opposition to abortion. And the ad notes that Miller’s opponents, incumbent Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Democrat Scott McAdams, support abortion. Murkowski lost to Miller in the Republican primary and is running as a write-in candidate.

“There are three Senate candidates, but only one choice to defend the unborn,” the ad’s narrator says. “Republican Joe Miller is pro-life and the only candidate to pledge to oppose taxpayer funded abortion. Scott McAdams and Lisa Murkowski are pro-abortion.”

Rasmussen’s most recent poll puts Miller’s support at 35 percent, compared to 34 percent for Murkowski and 27 percent for McAdams
