New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's deputy press secretary has exited her embattled boss' administration to take a new job in Oregon.

Kara Walker will serve as communications director for Oregon House Republicans, according to House GOP Leader Mike McLane.

"I'm pleased to welcome Kara to the team as we look to expand and strengthen the House Republican agenda," McLane said.

"Her knowledge and experience will help foster fresh and innovative ideas within the caucus and strengthen the way our agenda of growth and opportunity for every Oregonian connects with people's daily lives."

Walker had worked for Christie for three years, beginning as an intern, the Newark Star-Ledger reported.

She was not subpoenaed in the state probe of Bridge-gate, in which two of Christie's top aides are accused of masterminding a massive four-day traffic jam for political payback against a New Jersey mayor.

Walker is the second of Christie's communications staffers to depart this month.
Last week, his spokesman Colin Reed left to work for New Hampshire Senate GOP hopeful Scott Brown.
