Warren Buffett, Barack ObamaThis month, the Berkshire Hathaway CEO will appear at a Democratic National Committee event in New York.

Then on Oct. 27, Buffett will go to a $38,500-a-ticket event in a Chicago suburb that will include major donors in the area, such as former Obama campaign national finance Chairwoman Penny Pritzker and John Rogers, another early Obama campaign backer.

Buffett has played a starring role in Obama’s effort to raise taxes on the wealthy. The investor has been touting the idea to various media outlets for months, and Obama has anointed his tax increase proposal as the "Buffett Rule."
