Retired U.S. Army General Paul Vallely, who just returned from a fact-finding mission from Syria has a dramatic plea for America from the Syrian rebels: Take down President Bashar al-Assad’s air force.

"This is the message from the Free Syrian Army: Neutralize the Syrian Air Force, supply us logistically [and] Assad will fall in 30 days because he doesn't control the majority of the geography," Vallely told former Congressman Allen West, guest host of "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

Story continues below.

"That's all they want … to neutralize that air force. Every time the Free Syrian Army is on the initiative, on the offensive, they get backed away because Assad comes in and bombs."

And it’s a task that can be done in very little time, explained Vallely, who founded and chairs Stand Up America, a Montana-based think-tank dedicated to the conservancy of the U.S. Constitution.

"It's very simple. It takes about three hours to do that. I gave the targets … to the Defense Department of the three main airfields where the helicopters and fighters are and that will totally change everything," Vallely said.

"And now you've got a secularist Free Syrian Army who have plans for post-Assad in the government … They're very well structured, very well managed. I was surprised how well they have things put together."

The Free Syrian Army is made up of a composite of people who have left the regime to represent the Syrian people.

Lawmakers on Capitol Hill has been debating the possibility of a limited military strike on Libya, following last month’s use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime on the rebels — an act that killed over 1,400.
