A veteran history professor at Rutgers University believes former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice should not have been appointed to the board of the file-sharing company Dropbox or tapped as this year's Rutgers commencement speaker.
"Condoleezza Rice for better or worse is associated with those aspects of the Patriot Act that have to do with invasions of privacy... an exact opposite of what Dropbox is supposed to be about which is absolute privacy," Professor Rudy Bell told Ed Berliner, guest host of "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"I've been at Rutgers for 46 years — Rutgers is the place where the president of Rutgers was arrested for standing up against the [regime] in South Africa...."

Rice's link to Dropbox is bound to spell problems for the company, Bell added.
"I think that we will see over the months ahead a considerable drop in the use of Dropbox in favor of alternatives like Google as people figure out how to use these alternative methods," he said.
