The Republican National Committee's plan to make sure conservative journalists participate in debates featuring GOP candidates could run into trouble, says Democratic activist Christopher Hahn.
"They think they're going to control who sets [the] debates, but sometimes media organizations and groups set up debates and people show up. I don't know they're going to stop that from happening," Hahn told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"It's kind of ridiculous to try and there's going to be a lot of backlash when they do."
"When the Des Moines Register in Iowa wants to sponsor a debate you know the candidates who are competing in Iowa are going to want to show up for that debate, same thing in New Hampshire and North Carolina.''

Hahn's remarks came during a Newsmax panel discussion with Seton Motley, founder of the group Less Government, who believes the liberal media's domination on running debates makes for a lopsided event.
"It’s like the chicken coop having foxes moderate the debate, 'What should we have for dinner?''' Motely said.
