Republican lawmakers should not trust the Obama administration in supporting immigration reform because the commander-in-chief will simply use it against them, syndicated columnist and CNN contributor Ruben Navarette says.
"We do not trust Barack Obama because he always plays politics with issues like this and tries to have it both ways and he's trying to make us look to be the bad guy when in reality he's trying to please both organized labor and Latinos," Navarette told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"On Obamacare and every other issue, he turns it around on [Republicans] and uses it as a political issue against them."

Naverette says the GOP is fraught with angst.
"You have in the Republican Party this tension that exists. Do you guys want to be the pro-family party or not? You want to be the party of family values? Great. Go out there and hammer this president for destroying these families needlessly in many cases, needlessly," he said.
"Deporting people who should not be deported because you didn't deport them before, people like battered wives. We haven't deported battered wives and spousal abuse cases for 100 years but he's doing it now."
