CNN's Wolf Blitzer quipped that President Barack Obama might finally deserve his Nobel Peace Prize if he manages to end Iran's nuclear program and eliminate Syria's chemical weapons.

Conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh immediately lampooned the Nobel Committee's decision to grant the award to Obama in 2009, saying Obama had done nothing to deserve it. Even liberals have begun to join in the chorus, with pundit Kirsten Powers in September calling for Obama to give the award back because of civilians killed in drone strikes.

CNN is reporting that Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Abbas Araghchi, expects a deal to be reached by Friday.
