The media have been surprisingly critical of the launch of the Affordable Care Act, says Noel Sheppard, associate editor of NewsBusters.org, which examines media bias.
"The media are a lot more skeptical about the Obamacare rollout than any of us would've anticipated. And you have to ask yourself, why is that?" Sheppard told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"Is it because they knew that the conservative media, the Fox News, the blogosphere, NewsBusters, etc., were going to be on top of it, so they didn't want to be behind the eight ball on this?
"Or is it because it's such an extraordinary disaster that even though one of their own is involved in the disaster, they can't ignore it? I'm not sure what the answer is."
He said conservative TV personality Ann Coulter told him it may be because members of the media themselves will be negatively affected by Obamacare.
"They're watching this train wreck happen and they're wondering if it's going to have a negative impact on them . . . It appears that, conceivably, everybody is going to be impacted by this somehow."
