The CIA, its former director, and the Mob were responsible for the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, according to Jerome Corsi, author of the new book, "Who Really Killed Kennedy?"

"I put the blame squarely on the CIA and the Mafia," Corsi told "The Steve Malzberg Show," on Newsmax TV.

"But the key villain is Allen Dulles, who Jack Kennedy fired as director for the CIA right after the Bay of Pigs because . . . Dulles had lied to Kennedy, [and] Kennedy realized he was not in control of the CIA."

Story continues below video.

He added that Kennedy had planned to break up the CIA "into a thousand pieces. This was the key issue. The CIA was rogue."

Corsi, a senior staff writer at WND.com, said he believes Lee Harvey Oswald, whom the Warren Commission determined was the sole gunman in the assassination, in reality did not fire a single shot.

"He was completely a patsy, a setup, a fall guy like he said he was . . . and the Warren Commission knew this. They suppressed the information," Corsi said.

"When Jack Kennedy was killed . . . Oswald was on the payroll of the FBI as an informant and a CIA file on Lee Harvey Oswald in the false-defector program had existed since 1957."

Corsi said there were two other previous assassination attempts on John Kennedy, one in Chicago, Ill., and one in Tampa, Fla. — "both set up with a patsy" and both which ultimately failed.
