President Barack Obama and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius have repeatedly lied to the nation about the issues surrounding the Affordable Care Act, Rep. Tim Huelskamp of Kansas says.

"This administration — starting with her and the president — I mean it's absolutely clear they're going to lie, and they lied again," Huelskamp told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

Story continues below video.

Huelskamp expressed outrage over Sebelius' testimony on Capitol Hill on Tuesday about the problems plaguing the website.

"To stand there and say [the healthcare website has] not crashed when indeed it has . . ." he said.

"[Obama] promised . . . if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it. And Kathleen Sebelius repeated that lie again today, and lying to the 10 million Americans at least that have lost their healthcare coverage because of Obamacare.

"The real problem is the arrogance of these folks that think they can do better than you and me at picking our healthcare plan. And we're going to see continued disasters on this front."

Huelskamp said that while the website will eventually be straightened out, the program itself will continue to confound and cost Americans who were satisfied with the healthcare coverage they already had.

"At the end of the day, do you want Kathleen Sebelius picking your doctor and your insurance company?" he said.

"At the end of the day, when she gets done picking, regulating, and choosing, there will be one choice left, and that will be single payer, which is where they're headed, I do believe."

Sebelius has denied making the inflammatory statement that she wished she had five years to perfect the Affordable Care Act — a claim about which Huelskamp is skeptical.

"When you're trying to cover up a huge mistake and you're trying to move down the road and say, hey, nothing's happening here, and when you're trying to deflect the fact you've overseen a great debacle, you're going to continue to lie," he said.

"But the biggest one of all is trying to tell 10 million Americans, including thousands of Kansans in my district, saying, you know what? You don't have health insurance today because we cancelled your coverage even if you liked it.

"Kathleen Sebelius at the national convention said that will never happen. The president said that over and over. He just said it just about a month ago again, repeated the lie. At least the media's starting to see through that one."
