Chelsea Clinton, in New York for her family's annual Clinton Global Initiative meeting, says unemployment among young men in America is the greatest risk factor for homegrown terrorism.
Appearing on CNN's "Piers Morgan Live
" in a pre-taped interview airing Thursday night, Clinton said that "ensuring that young people feel like we are collectively investing more in their future, than in ... either harboring past grievances or ... protecting the status quo is, I think, the best antidote to that."

A Kenyan mall
was attacked by terrorists recently because the country has been transcending historic tribal barriers and strife, she said.
"I think because young people stood up in this last election and said we're not going to have a violent election, we are going to have free, transparent and open elections, we are going to move our country forward, sadly, we've seen the backlash," Clinton said.
She was less forthcoming when Morgan asked her if the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and assumed Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton has plans to run for political office.
"Well Piers, people have been asking me that question for as long as I can remember," she replied.
"What's the truthful answer?" Morgan asked.
"I'm deeply grateful for my life now, I love my life, I love being able to do this work," Clinton said. "I'm grateful that I live in a city and a state and a country where ..."
"This is a brilliant politician's answer," Morgan interrupted. "This is why you'd be so perfect: You managed to talk for an entire minute without referring remotely to either yes or no."
Morgan also asked Clinton if her mother is running for president in 2016.
"You'll have to ask her that," Clinton said, the same answer her father gave David Letterman
on Monday night.
