Despite ongoing claims by environmentalists, global warming is not happening and in fact, the polar icecaps have increased by 60 percent, according to Marc Morano, executive director of ClimateDepot.com.

"Both poles are doing well. Global sea ice is way up and yet [Former Vice President] Al Gore, the BBC, and others have predicted [an] ice-free Arctic either this year or next year," Morano told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"So far their predictions have not come through."

Morano believes the pundits promoting the global warming scenario twist the facts to fit their arguments.

"No matter the weather they can spin it and say, well, this is just what we would expect. They're the masters of it," he said.

"Now they're telling us, well we can't look at one year's data in the Artic. Why not? In the years when the Arctic is low they sure make hay out of it and act like it's the end of the world.

"Now, when it regains the ice they act like, well that's just a seasonal variation, it's a regression from the north. All this nonsense."

Morano points to a United Nations report on the world's climate.

"The real world data of global temperatures are running cooler than the predictions from each of the last four previous UN climate reports," he said.

"[Global warming activists] are not only failing, they're failing spectacularly. And what's happened here is what they're going to end up having to do, and this is what they always do, when the real current weather and data fails them, make your predictions scarier."

Morano's web site is a project of the Committee For A Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT), which was founded to "promote a positive voice on environment and development issues."
