Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he still misses politics sometimes, especially when it comes to the fight against pollution.

Appearing Tuesday on Fox News Channel's "Hannity," Schwarzenegger said environmentalists tend to focus only on global warming, which is a political hot potato.

"Global warming is only one aspect of it, and the sad story is people only talk about that a lot of times," Schwarzenegger said. Hannity pointed out that the two, though both supportive of Republicans, disagree on whether climate change is primarily caused by human activity.

"I think it's a no-brainer for Democrats and Republicans to get together and to solve this issue," Schwarzenegger said. America has the technology to increase green energy while also boosting fossil fuels and nuclear power.

And, he added, they produce jobs for Americans while saving lives and increasing national security.

He said he'd like to see both parties put aside their differences and work for people rather than themselves.

"It's like only half a team playing against the world," he said.
