A shortage of physicians in the Department of Veterans Affairs can only lend itself to the huge backlog of patients that has come to light in the last few months, said C. Edmund Wright, columnist for Breitbart.com and the American Thinker.
Wright and Ira Mehlman, media director of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, joined Diane Dimond and Dennis Kneale for a panel discussion on Newsmax TV's "The Steve Malzberg Show" to talk about the Veterans Affairs scandal.
Wright attributed part of the long wait lists at many VA hospitals to having too few doctors.
"There's 300,000 employees with the veterans administration; 295,000 of them are bureaucrats and 5,000 are doctors. Tell me, how can that possibly work?" he said Monday.
"But even in the bigger picture, this is why Obamacare's not going to work. This is actually why big government is not going to work."
