The Obama administration's claim that 97 percent of the world's scientists believe climate change is real and dangerous does not hold up to close scrutiny, Daily Caller contributor Michael Bastasch says.
"When you actually break down the numbers and dig into it, you find that the so-called consensus that they have is only something like half a percent,'' Bastasch told Dennis Kneale, guest host of "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"Very few scientists … agreed that global warming is going to be catastrophic. Most simply agree that the Earth has warmed and humankind has played some role in that.
"Now there's disagreement over to what extent, but very, very few scientists say it's mostly induced by humans and it's going to be catastrophic."
