President Barack Obama is repealing Obamacare in bits and pieces and making announcements about the changes in news dumps on Fridays, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy said Wednesday.
"If you watch, from the process of what the president has done, he goes on almost every other Friday night and repeals a little piece of the bill itself," the California Republican told Fox News' "America's Newsroom."
Fridays are traditionally the day when bad news gets dumped in an effort to bury it among weekend events. The latest Friday announcement about Obamacare came last week
— the Day after Thanksgiving as millions of Americans were more concerned with Black Friday shopping — when the administration announced the system to pay insurers was being pushed back.

Obamacare is beyond repair, according to McCarthy, and the president should "stop being stubborn" and admit it. The focus should shift from the government to the patient in charge of healthcare decisions.
"I don't think this plan is able to be fixed. You have to scrap it and start it, step by step, [in a way] that actually focuses on the patient having control of their healthcare, instead of government," McCarthy said.
Rather than blaming Republicans for problems with Obamacare, the president will send a strong message if he does not work with Republicans to find healthcare solutions.
"I think it is going to be a very strong message if the president doesn't change his opinion and actually start working together to bring a healthcare system that can work," McCarthy said. "Let's start looking after the patient, and put Americans first. And, let's put politics aside."
