To distract the American public from the relentless scandals plaguing his administration, President Barack Obama may have had a hand in the record numbers of unaccompanied minors flooding U.S. borders, according to Florida political blogger Javier Manjarres of Shark-Tank.com, who appeared as a guest on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV.
Unaccompanied minors are entering the United States at unprecedented levels — more than 47,000 between October and May — and Manjarres says it’s possible Obama is colluding with governments in both Central America and Mexico to facilitate the mass exodus of children from those countries and allow them into the United States.
"It would benefit Obama," he said. "I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but the thought comes to mind."
"I don’t think they're following the North Star here," he said. "I don't think they had a compass with them to make it all the way, trek thousands of miles from their native country to the U.S. border."
Another guest on the show, Newsmax Senior Editor David Patten, questioned how tens of thousands of children, just since October, have entered the country after the U.S. government has shelled out $130 billion on border security over the past nine years.
"What have we got to show for it?" he asked.
The number of unaccompanied minors entering the United States illegally this year is expected to reach 90,000 and by 2015, officials are predicting that figure to hit 142,000, creating a "humanitarian crisis."
